Add Nuts to Your Diet

“While nuts are great, too much of the high fat high fiber food too quickly can stress the GI tract. A handful or two a day may be a good starter if you’re not a nut eater.” – PerMutter

Nuts are high in fat, but much of it is the heart-healthy variety. The only nuts that are high in saturated fat are Brazil nuts, Macadamias, and Cashews.

I suggest you have a handful of nuts each day as a snack in the morning or at any other time of the day. Nuts are underrated as nutritious snacks — particularly raw tree nuts, such as almonds, cashews, walnuts, and more, which have been linked to lower cholesterol, better heart health, weight control, and even a lower cancer risk.
