Avoid Processed Food


Processed foods are those with ingredients added for flavor and texture (sweeteners, spices, oils, colors and preservatives) such as jarred pasta sauce, salad dressing, yogurt and cake mixes, crackers, granola and deli meat. The most heavily processed foods often are frozen pizza and microwaveable dinners.

Eating processed food in moderation is fine, but you should be on the lookout for hidden sugar, sodium and fat.
