From a human or material perspective, the cause of disease is so complex we can’t even understand all of it in a million years.
From a spiritual perspective, the cause of disease is simple: spiritual growth.
Well, spiritual growth is not only the cause of disease, it is the cause behind all problems and challenges we have to face throughout our whole life.
You’ve definitely heard the saying: “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.” I would like to rephrase it so that you understand it from a spiritual perspective: “Any challenge that doesn’t kill you, is meant to push your soul to grow in patience, perseverance, love, compassion, understanding, and modesty.”
There is an important difference between the two statements. What makes you stronger in the first statement is not sustainable after death – your strength would cease once you die. Whereas in the second statement, the qualities of your soul that you cultivate will remain with you even after your death – the soul never dies!
